Hi all! My bunny Beans got neutered yesterday and has since sprung back to being seemingly normal, although he has not eaten any pellets or hay yet.. He is eating his veges and drinking as normal but will not bother with any hay or pellets. His poops are smaller, wetter, and oddly shaped (not particularly round). I guess my question here is, is this normal behaviour after a neuter? Will he soon start eating normally again or should I be worried?

In my experience pellets are usually the last thing they will return to eating – if he’s eating greens then you shouldn’t worry – he’ll eventually return to hay and pellets. Poops like that are normal after a procedure due to pain meds and anesthesia.

As long as he’s eating veggies I wouldn’t worry at this point – going off of food is normal after a neuter.
