I just put together the maze haven for Albert. I love it and he clearly loves it! I chose to make it two stories because he has more floor space that way in his enclosure. I am Wondering if anyone else has arranged theirs this way and if so, do your buns hang out on the very top (ie the roof?) Albert explored it a bit and then jumped all the way to the floor from it! I thought it was too high so I almost had a heart attack lol! It is probably two feet high yes? Should I discourage him from jumping down from so high or are your buns typically fine?
        Thanks for the advice!
        Kate and Albert

I am sooo jealous of you guys and your bunny toys! Henry has a cardboard box and 20 toilet rolls, cause I can’t browse a pet shop with ‘bunny’ toys. I know I could buy from the net but am too scared. One, giving out my address for delivery (why is this lady buying bunny toys when rabbit’s are illegal here), and I’ve been ripped off before, buying stuff that turned out to be crap. I’m one of those touch and try before you buy. So…. you may have guessed Kate that I have no idea???? Lol! (I would love a pic though, cause I have NO idea what a bunny maze even is?). So happy you both love it! and I hope it is safe for Al to jump down from? Cheers Kate. Andi.

Ooops! Just gotta jump into ‘google chrome’ to see the pic’s. BRB! ha ha ha…..
              I don’t know why, but it works……

Edit/ADD – OH WOW! That is sooo coooool!!!!!! I once started to look in the BB store, going “I’ll take that, and one of those….” and on it went till I saw they don’t deliver to Oz! (Sorry BB) but I haven’t looked since – too depressing. Good thing Henry can’t see my screen, he has no idea what he’s missing out on! Maybe I should have a chat to my pet store food supplier and see if he can order some bunny stuff on my behalf? Mmmm….. there’s a thought?  Love it Kate! Lucky Al!

I think your buns will be fine jumping down from the top of the maze haven. If he didn’t like it, he won’t try it again, and if he does, he may jump up also and head inside from the top. A good jumper will like it because it gives him something to do that he finds fun (jumping) and keeps him entertained there, instead of jumping on and off your furniture. You seem to have a nice, low pile floor covering for him to land on.

If you are really worried, you can get a ramp to run from either the ground up, or from the ground to the first level outside the maze, and he can jump to that, then off. For that matter, a small cardboard box, upside down, next to it would give him a midway level to jump onto so he does it in 2 steps.

Oh that’s a good Idea Rabbit Pam! I might use another box. It is more the jumping down that worries me since he tends to jump on his head! Well at least it looks like it to me. He doesn’t jump out, he jumps straight down! LOL. He doesn’t have tons of room between the sides of his maze and the cage which might be part of the problem. The cardboard is also a bit slippery. I wonder if I could attach some sort of texture up there to help him grip more. Andi, Do you have a petco in OZ? Or maybe other pet shops might carry them but Al’s first playhouse was actually a cardboard house for cats….

I’m sure there would be Kate, or something simular to a Petco. Yer, I’ve been eying off the little cat houses/tents and tunnels. The next time we are at a K Mart (I’m sure I’ve seen them advertised there? or another place that sells these items, we will be sure to have a sticky and grab one (or 2, he he he…) for Henry. I reckon he would love it! Seriously – this bunny is like having a little kid, ha ha hah!
