PLEASE READ: Important Changes

Due to our recent influx of spam, we now have an approval process for posting: 

• Postings by new members will need to go through approval first. After you hit submit, your post will be pending approval. 

• Regular members, who are already trusted, will not have to go through the approval process, except in sections they have never posted in.  (It’s just the way the approval software works).  You post as you normally would, and if it is new to that Forum section (e.g. Bonding, Lounge, Tech etc),  you will be notified right after you hit submit, that your post is pending approval. 

• New international members and night owl posters may not be able to have their posts approved until the next day. (Depends on what time of they night they posted and when the first forum leader got to to the Pending Approval list the next morning).

So this is just for new members? Once someone has been posting for awhile, their posts no longer require approval?

I just edited my Original post to make more clear

LBJ10 – It’s for new members. However, regular members may be subject to approval if they haven’t posted in a particular section. For example, if you never posted in the Rescue Section or Tech Section before, and you go to post there, your post will have to be approved. This is just how our software works -it recognizes who is new per forum section. So unfortunately our long time trusted members may have to have their post approved in this case, but for our trusted members, it will be a very short one time thing.

Brilliant idea! Good on you BB and the team! Its a small inconvenience compared to having the site shut down completely. I for one am much happier again. I actually missed everyone and their bun’s yesterday when the site couldn’t be accessed. Hubby suggested I spend the day with Henry – dam bunny slept under the bed all day! I couldn’t win! ha ha ha…. I had a bunny free day, and I didn’t like it one bit! LOL! Cheers.

Hi! Is there someway to check if your post is awaiting approval? Like is it listed someplace? I’m new to the site and I tried to post something a couple hours ago and I’m worried that it just disappeared into the internet abyss and isn’t actually awaiting approval.

EDIT. Nevermind! It’s been posted. I can’t figure out how to delete this post, so I just thought I’d let you guys know I didn’t need an answer.

Mellykins-Sorry nobody got to it earlier, but I approved it so it should be up now. I don’t believe there is a way for members to check if their post is in our pending approval box, but if you have a big delay in the future feel free to contact one of the Forum Leaders via pm.

TMS-This has actually been in effect for more then eight
months now. We had a big spam attack back then that caused this.
