In what context is your bunny grunting?
          Are they neutered?

Yes, the grunts don’t change as much as the circumstances… It’s more about the context. If he’s relaxed and grunting, he may just be vocal. If he’s clearly upset, it could be anger/aggression. If he’s circling, it could be hormonal grunting.

Definitely a context thing like Beka27 said. I have one vocal bunny who “oinks” when she sees her salad coming, “growls” and lunges at us when she thinks it’s time for a bonding session with our other buns, grunts if she doesn’t approve of something we’re doing, and sort of grunts/growls when the other bunnies are doing something they’re not supposed to do or something she wants to do but isn’t her turn yet. The last one is usually followed by her rattling the heck out of her condo door.
