So, my parents (Whom I still live with) allowed me to move the bunnies into the family room permanently. Previously, they were in a sort of unfinished back room, where the extra freezer and pantry is, along with an office and storage space. We just left the door open which connected to the kitchen with their xpen door open to let them roam around, but they never wanted to come out to the kitchen and dining room. Anyway, since it’s been super freezing lately, that back room got REALLY cold, like you could see your breath. So we temporarily moved the bunnies into the living/family room since it’s the warmest room, right after the bedrooms. And since I switched to orchard grass, the hay hasn’t been bothering my mom’s or my allergies, so she talked to my dad and he’s allowing them to be able to stay there permanently.

They’re going to have less space than they previously did, but they’ll also have more interaction with us since they actually want to come out of their xpen when it’s open and spend time with us.

        Previous setup:

New set up: I put another litterbox and their water in there shortly after this was taken, it was just when I first set up their xpen.

It’s a lot less space, but I think they’re happier, because someone always greets them and/or pets them when they walk past their xpen (Which is often.)

That’s great! I’m glad for you and the buns.

Yay! I think what they lose in space is definitely compensated with interaction. I’m glad the orchard hay has made the difference with your mom too! That’s so great.

Yeah, they demand pets when people walk past them  Also, timothy hay was really bothering my allergies more than my mom’s, it was to the point where I actually started having trouble breathing, and my skin broke out in hives where the hay touched me, it was horrible, but I powered through it. I got creative in handling the hay, though.
