Although Honey always wees in her tray, and does poop in their too.. She seems intent on pooping all over her cage! Never outside of her cage though… Well.. very rarely at least
What can we do? Been training for 2 weeks since we got her. She is now about 13 weeks old.

Moving this to behavior. That’s the best place for litter training questions.

I don’t think you’re going to do much about it until she’s spayed.

Yep, agree with MB – my hubby woke up one morning for work and he had to change our top blanket – it was covered in bunny poop! (I slept through it, so didn’t bother me in the slightest…. till he told me! YUCK!). So looking on the bright side (if you can) your not sleeping in it, ha ha hah! Also, coming from a bunny mum of an ex-‘sprayer’ – bunny poo is SOOOOOO much easier to clean up than bunny wee!
Try and tolerate it (I know, easier said than done) and if you ever get discouraged think of me! (‘sleeping’ in poop) and as soon as your girl Honey can be spayed book her in. I know it’s not guaranteed – but it’s a great way to start. Thankfully it worked for my Henry, otherwise I could see my hubby and I BOTH sleeping in the ‘spare’ bed?!?!? Have I said this before….. dam bunny! Wishing you all the best Dan172.

How big is the litter box, does her cage floor have litter/blankets/anything worth marking in it, and do you feed her in the litter box?

The litter box is big enough for her. She does use it, just not all the time. In the litterbox we have bedding and the floor is bare outside.. Although we did carpet it but that didnt last long as she started weeing in the corner and pooing everywhere worse than usual! (She never wees outside her tray usually!)

In the corner of the tray there is hay.

Do you clean up the poops right away? Try letting it go for a full day or two and don’t clean them up. (Obviously, this is only for dry poos, not pee!) Sometimes if their marking droppings stay there awhile, they have less of a need to keep doing it.

Does she do droppings anywhere else in the house when she’s out for exercise time? If not, and they’re just in her cage, I would actually consider that a pretty big success, especially since she’s young and not spayed yet!

Well she was really good and never pooped outside her cage, now all of a sudden she is. Meh. Gunna ring vet for spayage

Some vets will spay as young as 4 months, but many prefer to wait until 6 months. Hormones are important for bone development, so if you can wait a little longer, I would. I know it’s frustrating. 🙁 As I’m sure you’ve read on the forum and other places, this isn’t just unique to her. Baby bunnies can be very messy…. Just keep telling yourself it’s temporary.

                          (Good thing she’s adorable, right?!)
