I don’t know if anyone has done this yet, but I have two bonded rabbits who always snuggle and groom each other. It took about two weeks to bond them (both not fixed, male and female). Then a few month later I had to get Bunny spayed because she was the right age. I didn’t have to go through any rebonding process and I only had them separated for a week (although I have also read that you shouldn’t separate bonded pairs?). But, now it is time to get Clyde fixed because he’s of right age, but all I read is to keep them separated for a month because he can still get her pregnant, but she can’t get pregnant so I don’t know if that is necessary. Also I have read that you shouldn’t bond them before they are fixed, which it’s too late now lol so I don’t know if this means I may have to rebond them after his neuter. Anyone’s personal experience would be great!

Their hormones take a while to subside after desexing so their dynamic and relationship may change after being “fixed”. Depending on how they go, you may need to rebond if they have a fight for “top bun” again

I havent had any experience as my 2 were already desexed when I bonded them, but I am sure others have

You should keep them separated until they are both healed up well. Since she can’t get pregnant, they don’t necessarily need to wait 4 weeks, but the danger is that he could become hormonal and they could fight.

Since her reproductive “equipment” is no longer there, pregnancy isn’t a risk like it would be with an intact female and a just-neutered male.

Like Zombie Sue said, they might still fight since the hormones will be present in the male for awhile, but I think this is something that you’ll have to play by ear. I would suggest keeping him separated for a full week to heal, and then after that try to put them together and see if they are still getting along. If there is any aggression or chasing or humping by either bun, I would separate again for another week before trying again. You might have to re-bond completely, but they may make it thru. The key is to closely supervise.

Thank you to all of you guys for your replies! Sorry I was AWOL for a moment! I do appreciate it still! I have just been really busy. Turns out that Clyde is actually a lady! Lol so I kept them separated until after Clyde was all healed up and then they were still fighting with each other like pulling hair! Very stressful so I though I would have to rebond them, and as soon as I started that process they started to groom each other and now I think their bond is even stronger than before!! It’s so adorable how inseparable they are from each other. Thank you again for your quick replies! I really appreciate being able to come to this forum with all my bunny questions!
