Hi, so Meeko just got neutered on Friday, and I was curious as to how long it usually takes bunnies to be completely litter box trained? He hasn’t made any accidents with pee until today, and I actually just made his space much bigger a couple days ago. I’ve recently started seeing poops every where sense I gave him more room to play. The only time he’s locked in his condo is at night, and he never makes accidents in there. Not even stray poops. Should I put another litter box in the pen, make the area smaller or reduce his freedom? I just want to make sure I’m setting him up for success.

Right now he lives in a condo (4 grids long, 2 grids tall with a loft) & has an xpen attached to it. He’s locked in the condo every night though.

It completely depends on the rabbit. Some rabbits are just better than others, too.

is he fixed? I don’t remember.

Another litterbox could help, especially if it seems like he’s favoring one corner.

He’s probably just marking the newly expanded play area, plus his hormones haven’t settled down. You can reduce his play area for now and later expand it once he’s settled.

Thanks guys! Meeko is 3 months old & is neutered. We got him done last Friday. I put in another litterbox with just litter, and no hay rack above, and he seems to be using it for both poo & pee.
