I absolutely love seeing other people’s bunny houses! It gives me a tonne of ideas to spruce up Sheldon’s cage.

        So here’s Sheldon’s!:

So this is an overview of his condo:

On the top floor we have what I call the bedroom. It has all his fleeces (far away from his hay…), and his teddy bear, some stackable cups, a homemade popsicle stick toy with a bell, and a rafia tassle in the back corner (which he doesn’t really touch).

To the right of his bedroom, we have his diggy box! Full of shredded paper, cardboard and other bits and pieces! It doesn’t always look this neat…

Then we have his ‘lounge-room’. I just recently put in some ceramic tiles for him to lie on, and I put a frozen water bottle here too. Behind the tiles is his toybox..

In his toy box he a apple stick, a few cat jingle balls, a piece of screwed up paperbag and some baby chains.

Next to this is the ramp, his octopus paper toy, and a water bowl.

Then on the right side of the bottom level is his litter box and hayrack, and on the door is also his water bottle.

Sorry about the links! I couldn’t insert some of the pictures :/

Can’t wait to see your bunny’s houses!

<img src="data:Here is Albert’s house. He is in there full time since the basement is not a safe place for him. I had to make it big enough so that he had enough space to binky, run and play. It is about 40 square feet.  I will eventually expand his area but he is not neutured yet so I am going to wait until then. I just climb in and hang out with him in there. There is also a couch and TV right next to his pen so I can be in the same room with him for a while.

MD, so far so good! Every now and again I’ll see a small piece dug out but I think it is more from his nails than chewing. He seems to leave them alone and plus side, he has stopped marking outside his litter box. I think the soft sheet was just too enticing for him. This seems to work out much better!

I love how colourful it looks! And I’m so jealous of the cardboard castle! I just bought some foam mats at the market around 20 for 8 bucks. They’ve got boats and animals in the middle of the pieces which pop out which is kind of annoying. So i’d need to cover them with fleece or a blanket. I just thought they’d be good to have just in case for a temporary cage base.

The foam is super easy to clean. I can see how if you had additional pieces in the middles it might get a bit annoying. I used to use a cotton sheet as the floor and this seems easier for now. We shall see. I love your condo. and Shelon’s name on the door. too cute!

                          Okay, I think I might use your basic condo set up as a guide-line for mine when I build one for Oreo (;

It looks awesome! Right now my bunny girl is in this large deluxe store bought cage that is 3 and a half feet across, two feet wide, and like nearly two feet high ish. She’s a small bunny so it works for now. I just have some home-made and some store-bought safe toys for her in there to play with and she has her hidey house, water-bottle, hay-rack, and food bowl(which is connected to the hidey-house).
                          Nothing too impressive.

Waiting to see if/when I move next and then after I save up some more and get Oreo spayed, I’m gonna try my darned hardest to make her a condo.

Ooh! That is so cool! My dad built me this great hutch last year when (don’t kill me anybody) I had my bunnies outside for the summer. I am not putting them outside again (granted, they were my first bunnies) , so we moved it into the garage where we keep the bunnies now. They have a 36 sq ft pen with carpet and a heating pad. And my foster bunny just has a plain old xpen and the hutch. I’ll post pictures as soon as I get out to clean…haha

(Btw, how did you find plastic mats to fit that!?)

I just posted some pix in the “edge guards for pokey wires” thread in this forum. Mostly how we constructed the Ellis Domain. He seems to love it – spends most of his time there and can be territorial if we try to change things. Very specific about what belongs where and will put a lot of effort into bun shui if we disturb things too much. I also suspect he’s rotating his major pieces of “furniture” – a wooden shelf and an empty wine box – to follow the sun. They were almost perpendicular to where they are now when we put them in last summer, and he’s the only one who has moved things.

He also has his own space in the living room with us, for his “not in the cage” time. Lots of paper, paper bags, old towels and a phone book, mostly under the marble coffee table. So he can play with us, then retire to rest as needed while still keeping an eye on his people.

Just finished the NIC condo! The base is coroplast (6mm, though I think the 4mm would have been fine and A LOT cheaper, for anyone thinking about making their own base), the shelves are plywood with vinyl peel-and-stick tiles, taped to square wooden dowels for support (here’s to hoping Liam doesn’t somehow eat the packing tape ). NIC squares kept together with zip ties and, for the doors, binder clips! They allow me to open one or both doors, or just a top of a door if I need to put in food or clean water without the buns escaping haha.

I used smaller wooden dowels to support the roof, which was a bit prone to sagging, especially when the doors were open.

Is that pen something I could buy online from the uk? Could you tell me what brand it is, because it’s exactly what I’m looking for!

                                            Thx

                                                Hey! The brand is easipet.
Here’s the link where I got it: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004D9YCSU/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The picture on amazon is slightly different to how it actually is. I really like it.

One gives you 8 panels, in that picture I’m using 12 panels so you’d need two for that size.

Here is my boys xpen set up. Its 30 square feet (6 x 5 feet), he has his litter box and hay rack in the bottom right corner, to the left of it is a wave shaped cat scratcher which he loves to sleep on, he then has his green veggie and yellow water bowl. In the top left corner is his hidey box with a fleece on top and a flat pet bed inside, the he has his car board tunnel, and finally his cat tree with a round pet bed inside. His flooring is a no pile carpet (its like a fleece but with a rubber back). He is perfectly litter trained, so I have no worries about him peeing on soft surfaces.

                                                          My bunny’s room

She only has a few toys because she either breaks them or has zero interest.. it’s been a struggle to find things she likes, but she has her box to dig in and little box house.

Had to put a runner in front of the couch so she didn’t slip jumping up and down.

Her litter box is in the far corner and she has a mat there so she doesn’t slip getting in and out of that either. And a long cardboard box to run through, I use the table to keep it from falling.

All the wires from the TV are behind it.

I use the top from her old starter cage I had when I first got her to put a box in for hay and to hold the water bottle since she’ll just throw a bowl around the room.

P.S it’s hard to see but that’s her by the corner of the rocking chair.
