Is it normal for a bunny to just spontaneously bolt across a room? Also, when Cadbury gets excited and starts hopping very quickly, it looks like he twitches. His head will shake a bit, or he’ll even hop right up, almost sideways? Seems like turrets lol. Is this normal?

Sounds like those are binky’s which is a happy thing.

I don’t know if bolting is normal or not but I wouldn’t think it’s something to be concerned about.

yes! haha VERY normal! Sudden bolts, given enough room and proper traction, can turn into them zooming around all over the place, commonly referred as bunny500s. The twitch, head-shake, hop thing is called a binky. It means he’s really happy! Also, I should warn you… if you see him suddenly flop over on his side, DON’T WORRY!! Commonly called bunny flops… it’s the ultimate sign of complete relaxation! The first time I saw it, I almost freaked out, I thought he was having a seizure or something was horribly wrong.

He will be in his house, then just zoom across the room, hop to his little shelf, sniff it, zoom to the couch, sniff it, zoom to my foot, sniff it, then hop around and twitch. The quick hopping is random.

I haven’t seen him bunny flop any where, but he will lay right out, stretched out almost in random places. Sometimes half in his little house, sometimes in the middle of the floor.

Oh he’s super happy. Watching them run around and play is more entertaining than tv, I think!
