Alright so the hay is out of control, we are going through it faster than we can afford and its also extremely dusty and our air pirifier can just barely keep up. Currently its a box in the garage, then we shove a bunch in a closed tub and bring that inside, and every couple of nights we put a chunk of that into the litter box. Its just a lot of moving hay around.

Have you seen any creative or DIY solutions? (Short of cutting a hole in the wall to the garage and having an endless feeder in the living room wall, hubby already put his foot down on that one LOL)

I haven’t, but maybe just getting a little free standing hay rack and filling that as needed would help rather than adding a huge dusty flake in all at one time.

I saw this think that bb members use that I want to get. It’s an IKEA bag holder. It looks perfect for hay!

I just put hay in my litter boxes but that’s not a good solution for messy bunnies. What about cutting a hole (or multiple holes) in a plastic bin or trash can? It might contain the mess better. I’ve never tried anything like that though and don’t know how well it would work.

              Something kind of like this:

But with smaller holes so they can pull hay out but not hop inside. Lol.

Wow, that’s a really good idea too. I might have to re-think some things around here!

I am currently in the process of looking for something else to keep my disabled buns hay in. I have it right now in tidy feeder the box says its suppose to keep your buns cage clean. His cage is more messy with it.
