Any fun weekend plans?

Tonight my cousin Rob from Pittsburgh is in town so we are having dinner at my dad’s.  Been awhile since I’ve seen him.  He is a writer for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review – all he writes about is hockey (I think) or so it seems.  He’s here for the Dallas Stars/Pittsburgh Penguins game.

Saturday, cleaning and errands – the usual.

Sunday, Etienne invited some friends over for lunch – so he does his chef thing and I get to clean up…I’m the steward.

I guess next Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday – not sure if I’ll go with Etienne to his friends or not.  Maybe I’ll go  just for the food and the halftime…it’s Bruno Mars and The Red Hot Chili Peppers…

Nothing planned. Supposed to snow again tomorrow, ugh. It is absolutely freezing out, can’t even do a thing outside. And if it snows, it means the boyfriend will be plowing for an entire day. This week alone he worked 19 hours in a plow overnight, that sucked…
We are supposed to go see some more rabbits tomorrow, they said one meeting was really good with a male but I want to be sure before we decide. And the kids will not come since they were bored with the bonding process after ten minutes lol, but they will have fun at my parents house.

We told the kids we could go bowling soon, so maybe we’ll do that Sunday. We’re pretty boring! haha

More working QQ

It’s nice to see cousins once in a while (: I have one I am kind of close to too.

It’s really cold here, too -.- I think Sunday (my day off, Hobby Lobby is closed) I will go tour gyms, probably join up at the Y. I’m also thinking this weekend I might just buy a sewing machine and try to figure it out Maybe I’ll try to sway a coworker to see me. My friend has Sundays off too, so I know I’ll do a lot of sitting around and skyping with her too x)

Working both Saturday and Sunday. Short shifts since they are cutting hours. Just counting money and leaving. I’m thinking I will try getting something done with my thesis this weekend. I’m not making progress like I want to.

I’m going to see Frozen (finally!) tomorrow, then I have some work to do from my preliminary exam paper… on Sunday I’m meeting with my fundraising run group to setup a strategy for this year and then I plan to spend the rest of the day cooking up a storm: black bean chilli, spiced lentil soup, jardineira (portuguese stew) and maybe a quiche and some muffins. I tend to cook in bulk during the weekend so I can freeze portion and not cook during the rest of the week

My Mom’s birthday party is tomorrow so I’m going to that. Otherwise just relaxing. Maybe go out and do some geocaching if the weather is nice enough. It was sunny/warm enough today that I didn’t have to wear a sweater every time I went outside.

I get to help my friend take cute pictures of young bunnies! Our bunny group leader got a mama bunny to foster last fall, and her 3 babies. The plan was to spay her after the little ones were weaned. Unbeknownst to everyone, the mama had been double impregnated by the male her original owners also had, probably on the way to the shelter. So the second litter had 6 surviving babies. My friend and I are going to take pictures of them that if I understood correctly will be for helping them find forever homes. Mama bunny has been spayed as has daughter from the first batch, and one of the sons neutered. And of course no unneutered/unspayed ones are allowed near each other!

I have a party Saturday night, and got invited to a party tonight but I didn’t feel like it. Probably won’t feel like it tomorrow either lol. We’ve had school off for two weeks due to snow and end of semester teacher work days so that meant extra horse chores! I just love carrying out buckets of water from my house to every field over forty acres because the hoses are frozen. Nottttt. Saturday will probably just be cleaning and taking out my horses as usual, lately I’ve just been getting on bareback letting them keep their blankets on it’s so cold! This week I was taking my mare out and we got miles away, I was on bareback and then it started snowing like a freaking blizzard. And it never snows here. Just my luck. And Sunday I might have a friend come over. Your guys’ weekends are so much more interesting!!

NBO – We usually look for caches when we’re out and about with some extra time. Right before the weather went down hill we had started going out once in a while with the sole purpose of geocaching for a couple hours and were able to take the dogs with us. Super fun with them tagging along! I want to get them little trackables for their collars so people can log them.

Sue – Geocaching is an activity where you find hidden containers of various sizes using GPS coordinates. Kind of like a treasure hunt.
