Whenever my girl bunny goes to groom her mate, she pulls out his fur around his eye.  He goes up to her to get groomed and he tries to put his head in a position that she can’t get to, but he fails.  I know it hurts him because he always jerks his head away.  He is a dwarf hotot and that beautiful black band around his eyes is now just exposed skin.  I have read that she may be bored and needs more toys.  She has a ton of toys, room to run and plenty of activities to keep her occupied.  She doesn’t act like a bored bunny.  What can I do?  This is very stressful!

Are you bunnies both spayed/neutered? How old are they? How long have they been bonded?

I hate to bombard you with a bunch of questions right off the bat but it will help people answer your questions.

How is his eye? Perhaps something is wrong that she is trying to “fix”?

He doesn’t seem to have an eye problem at all.  Both bunnies are fixed.  They have been bonded for about 3 months and seem to really enjoy each other’s company.  The boy is 8 months old and the girl is 6 months old. Thanks!
