Ok so for starters.. my boy is INDOORS at all times. I’m just wondering because my house is on the drafty side. My indoor thermometor broke so I can’t tell you the temp. right now. I’d say it’s like 57-62? lol. my expert opinion. Is my bunny comfortable or freezing? I have stuffed his sleep house with his hay so he can cuddle in there. So yeah just wondering if he’s alright. Thanks!

Bunnies fare much better in cold than in warm. He should be fine. If you are worried about it, you can give him a warm water bottle, but he will be ok.

Uhh my heater broke in the middle of this winter storm tonight. My house is current 48 degrees and Sally and Harley don’t seem phased AT ALL and I’ve always kept the house between 68-75 their entire lives. IM the one suffering! And I was worried about them. Pfft lol!

Also I provided them a small crate with towels in there just in case they wanted to go in and huddle together. Nope, they dug the towel out of the crate because it was in their way of exploring the contraption. And they are sleeping on the floor, which is freezing my feet walking on, all lounged out and flopped. Not. Bothered. At. All. Slightly jealous of the munchkins.

He probably prefers it at around 50*F lol. Remember rabbits have an impressive all-over fur coat :p

Just a warning: A bunny may consider a hot water-bottle a delicious snack. I know this because my bunny Yohio ate the top off of my hot water-bottle this very morning.

He seems fine, but I’m keeping an eye on the little marauder.

I keep my rabbit in a sun room (every asks what that is so it is a room with windows every where ) and in there it is probably around 50 degrees but the bad thing about the sun room is that it get really hot in their during the summer

You and any other humans will be unable to tolerate the cold long before your bunny cares at all. Remember many bunnies live outside int hutches all winter long all over the US.

Oh if only I could stick my 2 cents in???? What I’d do for a blast of cold air! We (Australia – or my part of it) are enduring a heatwave! Not wanting to use the A/C today cause I’ve had it running for 2 days straight, just put a frozen bottle into Henry’s house. I too have been told bunny’s can tolerate the cold way more than the heat. I’m watching the thermometer – another 2 degrees and the A/C is going on! Keep warm everyone (I’m almost sick saying that!). Cheers, Henry’s ‘hot sweaty’ mum.

HI, my 4 month old lionhead rabbit is too allergenic for my parents so we have to keep him in the shed. It is very safe. The door is predator proof and it is usually quiet at night. My only concern is that is gets as low as 50 degrees Fahrenheit every night. Is this to cold for my baby? I put bedding and hay in there for him to cuddle next to but is that enough?!? I want him to be happy and safe.
