A few minutes ago I noticed that some milky liquid was coming out of Daisy’s eye. She is acting normal, eating, playing, grooming her buddies, but her eye is weepy. Should I take her to the vet, or is it even anything?

Is there anything in her eye? Like a piece of hay? If there isn’t any obvious debris in her eye, then you probably want the vet to have a look. It could be an eye injury or ulcer or tooth roots. Lots of possibilities.

So sorry – after I read your reply I looked for hay or debris but couldn’t see any, so she had to be taken to the vet right away. So now I’m replying. The vet looked at her eye, staining it so he could fully examine it and told me that it was an ulcer on her third eyelid, and at some point it had been torn, perhaps she scratched it. He said it bleeds a little when it’s torn, so it’s likely another bunny licked off the blood in their many grooming times. The vet gave me a cone, and he gave me an oinment to apply 3 times a day (Poly BAC).
The vet also gave me drops (gentamicin sulfate) to apply 4 times a day with addition to the ointment 3x a day.

            I’ll keep you guys posted!

Oh dear! Well it was a good thing you took her in to have it looked at. Ulcers are pretty straight forward treatment-wise. The third eyelid can be a nightmare though. Wooly tore his when he was still young. We tried ointment, then eye drops, nothing would keep the swelling down. We finally had to resort to a steroid eye drop, which is something you have to be careful with in rabbits. His third eyelid does get irritated now and then, but the swelling always goes away now. With it being torn, it is just out there waiting to be accidentally scratched. My vet said the only way to “fix” it was to surgically remove that piece. Since it hasn’t been much of a problem though, we have decided to leave it for now.
