My two-year old female dutch has an x-pen. It is the Ware Clean Living one, and I had gotten the waterproof base for it, but she dug at it and chewed at it and pretty much ate large chunks of it. I am not sure if she is spayed. I was told that she was, but I kind of don’t believe that, because she displays a lot of behaviors in an unspayed rabbit. Anyway, we live in an apartment, so her being on the carpet isn’t an option, and I thought about an area rug, but she isn’t great at litter box, so I wouldn’t want to have to clean pee off the rug. I’m not sure what to use, since she digs and pees. Any suggestions?

I actually had the same problem you are going through with my female rabbit. I called my local carpet store and asked if they had any pieces of linoleum that they weren’t using. They called me back and said they did I went to pick it up and they didn’t even charge me so try that. It worked wonders for my rabbit. She didn’t chew it and you can put straw mats if your worried she will chew it.
