What does it mean when your bunny licks you?

That he/she likes you/loves you. You pet him, he/she licks you.

I think it is really grooming you (Least in the rabbit’s view) and rabbits do that when they like/love another like bam said.

Once my bunny did it after i moved out of her way right away after being nugged.

Does that mean my Henry doesn’t like/love me????? (wiping a tear from my eye), lol!
I just thought I didn’t ‘taste’ any good??? Ha ha hah…..

You may have guessed, my Henry doesn’t lick me – chuckle!

AndHenry, my Yohio don’t lick me, exept my forehead when I’m trying to avoid getting up at first light=)

When I pet him, he may after a while start licking fabric nearby, like a cushion or pillow. I’m rather sure he likes me though, because he demands pets.

So licking a person’s skin is not the only way a rabbit expresses love. It’s probably unlikely that a rabbit would lick the skin of a hated person, but the absence of skin-licking doesn’t mean hatred =)

Well there is a few things people say why rabbits lick things near you but not you.

They do like you and would lick you if your skin was not yucky tasting.

Some rabbits will lick objects around you, rather than your body or the clothes you’re wearing. This is used to indicate that they like you very much even though you’re a subordinate. It will be performed very clearly in your view and while watching you. They seem particularly to choose objects that have your scent, such as places where you sit or clothing you’re removed. I think it’s fair to interpret this as giving you the gift of being groomed, though indirectly.

So if they are licking stuff with your scent, then I think it is meant for you.

My bun Mortimer likes to run around my feet in circles and then licks my toes. Its cute and tickles but he only licks my feet.

I think it is a sign of loving you because my rabbit will always lick me when i pick her up and we snuggle and sometimes she will come up and lick me when i am playing with her another thing i do is i make sure i have clean hands and no weird scents on them so when i get her out i always wash my hands before but that is just what i do

Digby just started licking my jeans last week Whenever I sit down in his pen and start petting him, as soon as I stop, he will lick the part of my jeans closest to him. I’ve had him for five years and this is the first time he’s ever done that, but its become a regular thing now.
