        Need help pleaseee.
I just bought Snowflakes (he is a 10weeks old boy mini lop) 2 weeks ago, on christmas eve.

I lovw him to pieces but he keeps pooing on the floor inside the cage. His cage is a xpen on the corner of tje house, with his litter box inside a plastic cage.

He keeps pooing outside his litter box

I work fulltime; and every time i go home, there’s poo on the floor and inside the plastic cage although there’s no pee.
When i take him out to run around the house, he sometimes accientally drop few pieces of poo. (very little)

It’s just inside the cage that he’s doing it.

so i believe he understand the concept of litter training.please see attached photos. i just cleaned it so theres no poo now.
but notmally it’s all around the floor

        Helpppp!!!!

is this territorial marking?but why isnt he doing it outside his cage?
i will spay him in 2 weeks time.would that help?

Neutering usually helps with litter habits, and make sure to pick up the astray poop and put it in the litter box so he knows it’s okay to go in the litter box too. Also-congrats on your new bunny!

i did put it back to the litter box. but it seems like he keeps doing it.
even when he’s just walking, he poops here and there

is there anything else i can do besides spaying?

            Thank you!

My female rabbit still does this even after spay but not as much. It has gotten better though. Right now it could be hormonal and could total clear up once he is neutered. Alfienut is right just pick up the strays. I got a little dust pan and brush to clean up after my girl. Some people even use hand vacumms ( I wish I had one.) heh. You also haven’t had him that long and rabbits can do that for awhile until they are settled in. I believe he is marking his territory. My male also did this but it cleared up with in a couple of weeks. Give him time to settle in. Oh if you only have one litterbox you might go ahead and add another. I have a couple in my rabbits areas with hay in them my female uses them as her litterbox as well. You could try that till he is fully litter trained. Congrats on your new bunny!
