So my young bunny Annie has never done this before. She was acting out, so I called her over, and gave her some pets. She was so content, and anytime I stopped even for a second, she begged for more. I gave her a willow branch to chew one, because she was wanting to chew. She was so happy. Then, I moved, and she got upset and started pulling on my jeans. So I thought “more pets? different pets?” didn’t work! “stick?” nothing. I tried moving, and playing, and she just kept tugging at my jeans or shirt. She has never done this before, anyone know what she wants? She has tons of fresh hay, and water. My husband says maybe she was begging for human food but I wasn’t eating anything(I only give her safe foods) She did take a treat when he gave her one, but is that what she wanted, or did that just please her even though she wanted something else? We are new bunny owners and still have lots to learn. thanks!

She probably just wanted attention and food. Bunnies get lonely really easily, I am sure she just wanted any type of interaction. They are demanding little critters and they think that you should always pay attention to them. One of my bunnies, Lionel, does this too. They are just upset because you aren’t always paying complete attention to them. They own us more than we own them. Don’t worry about it, as long as she has everything she needs she is just being an attention hog.

I agree with LEL, bunnies can be very determined when they want to be pet or played with. If you don’t pet them when they tell you to, they might remind you about what’s important in life (i e your rabbit’s well-being and fulfillment of every rabbity need) by f ex nipping. It’s rather cute =)

Thanks so much! This morning she is very happy and playful. I love her so much! This was my first time posting and I will definitely be visiting more often, I love having a place where people understand my bunny love! We’ve only had her about a month and a half and are still learning, but I think she is very happy here

Yes, we totally understand your bunny love. I like this forum because here its not “just a rabbit” like it is to most of the world. Glad you’re staying!
