Okay, well my rabbit is chewing threw her cage. She keeps chewing through the wood, ( which I keep layering it up) and the cageing on the side. Is there anyway I can get her from stop doing that? I put hay and chewing blocks in her cage but nothing seems work.

Wow that sounds like a toughie. I know my rabbits chew on their cage when they need outside time. Maybe yours needs a little extra outside free time as well?

Gee, once my boy has it in his head he wants to chew something there’s no stopping him short of taking the item away. Of coarse you can’t take her cage away ha ha ha… Can you put something up that can’t be chewed through (ceramic tile maybe?) to block the particular area that she is obsessing on, or is the whole cage in general? By the way, gorgeous avatar! Is that a picture of your girl? Daisy?

How much out of cage time does she get and how big is her cage?

Consider reinforcing, or replacing, the cage wall(s) with either an xpen or the cubes that can be assembled together at the corners. You could construct a little “fence” that stands against the chewed side, so even if she makes a hole she can’t escape. Replacing it with the baars of an xpen or nic cube can be chewed, but won’t be harmful.

Spray the wood with a mix of vinegar and water to make it less appetizing. Get unpeeled willow toys and sticks for chewing substitutes. And definitely more exercise/play time to combat the boredom. Oh, be sure she’s eating her hay daily, as that trims her teeth naturally, and she may not be using the hay for that if she is doing it with the wood instead.

When my bunny chews at a spot too much I put one of those thick bend a bridge things there.

You can make it wall like and those seem to hard to chew. my rabbit nibbles on it for a bit then walks away.

What everyone else said is also true as well. I extended her play area with a pen with a gate on it (So i can let her out easily out of the pen for more exploring) with the cube trick. She gets access to this large pen area all day and free to hop in and out of the hutch (Her hutch is still her main home and still spends a lot of time there)

When i opened her pen to explore the house she explored a bit and went back to her pen area. Sometimes she just likes knowing she has more space when she wants to use it.

Make sure she has access to enough toys, you need an assortment to figure out what she likes.
