Hi everyone!  We are new here and already I have received a lot of valuable help!  My son got this little dwarf for Christmas!!  He’s so excited!  We are not sure how old she is, but she is still a baby.    Her name is Annabeth.

She’s very cute – I actually believe she is a Dutch rabbit – they are a very smart breed.

Awe – what an adorable bun. Is she a mix? Because her coloring looks more like a dutch bun, than a dwarf.

Agreed, definitely looks like a Dutch! Gorgeous bun!

Yeah, I think Dutch rabbits get bigger than a dwarf rabbit. Make sure to be prepared for that eventuality, although he looks like he’s settling in well. Cute baby bun.

Oh my gosh…I have no idea! What is the difference between a dwarf and a dutch? LOL! Oh boy…total newbie here. I need to do some research. We bought her at a feed store and were told she was a dwarf. She is SUPER sweet. Tell me more!!

Dutch is a breed of bunny. Dwarf rabbits are Netherland dwarf, Lionhead, mini lop, etc. Dutch rabbits are not dwarfs, they can grow up to 5 lbs.(normal bunny size)

Dutch rabbits have the Dutch markings (like your rabbit). Like LongEaredLions said, they can get up to 5lbs. That isn’t a large bunny, but definitely not a dwarf. She is adorable though. She has such a sweet face. Just keep adult size in mind so she has enough room when she grows up.

Well right now her indoor cage is 4 feet by about 2 feet so she still has enough room to grow. It’s all good if she’s a little bigger, we just love her!!
