I got a little baby lion head not too long ago. She is the sweetie at thing and my best friend. She does everything very well and it extremely friendly and adventurous. She doesn’t chew on things or anything like that but she absolutely loves to come up in my bed while I’m sleeping and go pee and poop on it. She hasn’t been spayed yet because she is too young. I suspect this is part of the problem. I feel bad forbidding her to come on my bed and there is really no way to. She will just jump right up here. Thanks!

Spaying may help but the truth is that many rabbits will pee and poop on couches and beds because they smell the most like their humans. The only way is to forbid her.

I have this problem myself. I’ve been told by a couple of people on here their problems with this stopped almost completely after being spayed/neutered. But it’s no guarantee.

My boy Henry was an absolute horror when it came to peeing and pooping on my bed – but after being neutered + a few weeks, problem solved YAY! But even my vet said it came with no guarantees as suggested above. But I was soooo desperate and felt it was my last resort I didn’t hesitate, I had him booked in the next day! Just wanted to let you know it can work. In the meantime, I do feel for you – how tragic is it when you wake up in the morning covered in pee and poop?!?!

also if you put plastic like a shower curtain on your bed it  may discourage her.  I can see you sleeping covered in blankets with a shower curtain on top.  lol.

I just had to forbid mine.  I coudln’t  sleep he would dig in my hair every 2 hours I couldn’t get no sleep. So no more of that.  Plus pee and poop on my pillow. I didn;t try the shower curtain

My bunny used to do that all the time. I think he held it as long as he could and when I left he would pee a river. It would soak through my blankets, comforter, and mattress. I had to wash my mattress at least 10 times. He got through every fence i tried to put around my bed and always managed to jump up there. I recall hiding in my closet with a nerf gun waiting for him to act but my aim is bad so that plan failed.

What worked is placing a sheet of vinyl over the bed and spraying it with cooking oil. Bunnies hate slippery surfaces.

Don’t ever use a Nerf Gun on your rabbit! Those things hurt and you should never use force to punish a rabbit.

I also don’t recommend using cooking oil. That could make a bunny sick if they get it all over and lick it off, not to mention how dirty it could make him.

Is she penned at night and when you’re not around? Babies are not usually very good candidates to be free roam in a space. They should have supervision until they can be trusted to use their litterbox consistently and not chew off-limit things. I recommend working on free roam after the bunny is spayed and has had time to mature a bit more, maybe around 9-12 months old. In the meantime, a large pen or rabbit condo when you’re not around will protect the rabbit and your stuff.
