Has anyone ever used bamboo mats in their bunnies’ cage for traction?  I’d like to get both Hera and Zeus some new mats for x-mas.  They have the coconut fiber mats right now from busybunny.com.  I’m finding some really inexpensive bamboo mats, and I thought those would look nice and also be a little more durable.. both bunnies like to shred/eat their mats.

Hi bunnnnnnie! I saw your forum earlier, but didn’t post cause I’m a cheapskate – my boy has newspaper and catalogues for flooring in his house, have no idea about bamboo mats (though it sounds like what I just bought as placemats for my dining table???? doh!). And I have to be honest, when Henry first came home I didn’t know any better, so just used what I thought was common sense? I have since heard everything wonderful – but at a cost, and since my boy is all ok with his (cheap) flooring, I never investigated any further. I noticed that no one replied to your forum yet, I always take that as no one knows, so I thought I’d throw my silly suggestion in. Admittedly, I know it doesn’t compare, but Henry digs and chews on his paper floor, so this could even be an option to consider in between mats? And traction…. I have vinyl floors and trust me Henry zooms everywhere (yes – he’s hit the odd door/wall) but he bounces back! ha ha hah! Silly me if your not after the mats for flooring but another use in Hera and Zeus house. I’ll apologise now, cause I know I’ll have to do it later. But, on the chance I helped you out (even slightly?) I’m pleased I posted to your forum. Cheers. Henry’s mum.
