My youngest bunny, Pumpkin, is a runner. He hates being caught, but loves to be groomed. He was never fond of me or my boyfriend, and would only let us groom him if we were holding him, but didn’t like being held for more than a minute or so.

Well, I’ve been taking him into our room for bonding time, letting him run around and jump on and off the bed.

AND NOW HE WON’T LEAVE ME ALONE. I’m just sitting here on my laptop, and he keeps jumping on me and climbing on me and nipping at me until I’ll pet him, and then once I do he’ll be content for a little bit, but then he’ll start jumping around again and hop on his way! Then two seconds later he’ll hop on back and do the same thing!

I can’t tell if he’s annoyed, wants to play, wants to be groomed, or is just being the average baby bunny! Any answers, please? And any tips on handling him?

Sounds like he’s being a playful bunny. Depending on his age, he may also be entering puberty. I’m assuming he’s unneutered since you say he is young.

Sounds like a playful bunny to me too. He wants your attention, but it seems he’s making a game of it.

My rabbit does this too! I agree with the others about it being a playful thing. For my girl, it’s also a thing of jealousy. Maybe it is for your bun too? She wants attention when I’m focused on something else. This applies to when I’m on the laptop, doing homework, or (for the sake of experimenting) talking to my empty lap.
