This was hard to even bring up, but i guess he going through those stages now, and he has no mate.he hopped on my foot one night, and grabbed on with 4 claws.i was laughing so hard and reaching for my camera,my foot went way up in the air,and he was still hanging on going at it 3 feet off the ground.i felt so sorry for him,at the same time i realized my foot was being raped…lol and it hurt with those claws digging in. Now everynight when im under my covers,he tries hopping up on my foot, and is so focased nothing with scare him,i have to yell NO…and keep moving my feet away. I feel so bad for him not having a mate. Should i buy him a life size stuffed bunny to satisfy him lol… Or let him continue doing my foot? Or just not let him go there at all?

I would get him a stuffed animal companion. I wouldn’t want him to get in the habit of trying to hump my feet all the time. Do you plan on neutering him?

No,im having probs just thinking what he will go through if he gets fixed, and i do like him being spunky all the time, and ive read that other ppl that neuter their bunnies,it doesnt always fix the problems.do you think this will stop soon?

He will remain with his spunk. He just won’t feel the need to mark and hump! It can actually be frustrating for a unaltered bun. They can get sexually frustrated.

But if you don’t want to neuter and he’s an forever only bun then that’s okay, just get him a stuffed companion. I don’t see this resolving itself. The only thing you can do is just give him something he can hump when he feels the need

Besides humping you or anyone who happens to be around, he may start spraying. Unneutered rabbits really can have a lot of frustration. It would be better to get him neutered. You may want to get a companion for him at some point, and he would have to be neutered before that happened, so that would be another reason to go ahead and do it now.

I got Rufus a stuffed toy before he was neutered. Then everytime he went after my hands or feet, I just redirected him to the toy. It worked pretty well! He just looked so frustrated the poor little guy. I got his rabbit toy from the dog toy section at the petstore

They may grow out of it, or not. Some buns are very uhm… driven. Neutering him won’t take away his spunk and if his behavior continues to get worse, it may be better for him than being always frustrated and spraying/marking all over making you have to pen him up all the time. Neutering won’t remove all bad behaviors, since not all bad behaviors are hormonal in nature, but if done early it can avoid hormonal ones becoming a habit.

Porky, unneutered, keeps his amorous behaviors mostly to his stuffed animals. The only sexual advances he makes towards humans are towards me in the form of circling, which I find kind of sweet.
