        Hi everyone,

First let me explain a little about my bun

Im new to the forum but use the site regular, Basically my Bunny stitch is about 2 months old , undone as hes been on baytril recently and now septrin as hes been sneezing with discharge , He seemed to be getting better but i am guessing because of his age hes been starting to act a little different , just a little bit of aggression and naughtiness which i wasn’t to worried about , My plan was to let him complete his course of septrin then get fixed, He went to vets at 10,14 and 16 weeks and he wasnt ready.

Hes a house rabbit and usually a normal binky bunny that adores to have fun, we always put him in his cage to sleep in because we dont want him chewing up the carpet, When I put him away last night he clutched his teeth around the bars and shook them violently, I turned the light off and assumed he would be out his mood in the morning

When i woke up today completely different Bun, Very scared and very timid and i dont know why! I couldnt get him out his cage till late hours of the evening because he was so scared, He wasnt eating, although since finally getting him out ive witnessed him eating a few times and drinking his water so hes still eating at least but hes still very scared of me and my husband, its as if we have just got him

Theres been no change in environment or anything

Could it be possible he just needs to be neutered or am i upsetting him by putting him in on the night, last night he seemed particularly not happy to be in his cage

Im gonna let him sleep in the kitchen tonight and take him to the vets tomorrow just for a check up and piece of mind

Im honestly bewildered , It was only last night he was jumping all over me on the sofa

Yep, maybe his hormones have kicked in, and again, maybe he was put out by being put to bed. My Henry is more moodier than me (what tha?). Doesn’t mind being in his cage at night for bed, but hates being ‘locked in’ and can react when he realizes he can’t get out. Each day within an hour we can predict his mood – he has ignorant days of sleeping under the bed and don’t see him till he’s hungry. Other days, he’s everywhere being nothing but downright naughty (love it, ha hah). And today…. he’s laying under the breakfast bar next to his pellet dish, but quietly. So he’ll spend the day with us, but not much activity? Got me buggered???? LOL! Once the vet gives him the ok, I’m guessing your just stuck with a moody bunny, doh!

Since he’s been sick, keep a close eye just to make sure he’s eating, drinking and pooping normally. If he is, then he could just be holding a grudge from last night. Ignore him – they hate being ignored and will probably seek you out eventually. If he’s not back to normal later today, I would worry if he’s just not feeling well. Keep us posted!
