This is my last update on Dewey, an older bunny with chronic kidney disease.

After a month on a diet with very little pellet, but large quantities of green leafy veggies, subQ fluids about twice a week, and the return to his remodeled bunny room, the vet wanted to  run another blood panel.  The panel results were, across the board, very good.  His creatinine (which my vet says is an indicator of kidney function) was in the normal range!  The last time is was elevated.

Dewey the bunny does very well with the subQ fluids.

He is not cured and his life will always be effected by the decreasing function of his kidneys, but he is happy and living very well right now.

This must have been great news for you! It’s not perfect but this could have ended much worse and I am very happy it didn’t!

Congrats to you and Dewy in this scary ordeal. Hopefully he stays alright for a long time!
