        Hi!
I have two mini lops, both from the same litter (one buck and one doe).
They are now 11 weeks old and still tiny! The breeder did say the whole litter was dinky. I’ve had them with me two weeks now and they are growing. Both eat, drink, poop and play well. Very curious, cuddly and bouncy so I’m not concerned for their health, just curious if anyone had an average size chart so I can keep an eye on their development?
        Ta!

I think this is definitely something to discuss with your vet. A rabbit savvy vet will be able to let you know if they’re growing at a good rate and over all healthy. It’s also gives you a chance to get to know your vet before setting up spays/neuters.

Please plan to house them separately VERY soon! They are almost 3 months old and will be reaching sexual maturity within weeks. Even though they are brother and sister, they WILL still mate – guaranteed!
She is so young that, though she definitely CAN get pregnant around 4 months old, she DEFINITELY SHOULDN’t!!
You will have to keep them apart – TOTALLY – NO PLAY TIME TOGETHER!!! Then, a month AFTER they have been fixed, you can re-introduce them to eachother. Please be vigilant.

I second what both MD and Cheri said

Neutering/spaying and necessary housing arrangements have already been planned. These aren’t my first bunnies so I know a lovely vet with high standards and I know that I need to pay attention as they grow.
I really just wanted to know how they compare to other mini lops of this age as previously I’ve had English Dwarves and Dwarf lops.
Cheri, I know you’re trying to help with the neutering/spaying advice, but it’s already all been arranged and not really relevant to what I asked.

I googled mini lop growth chart and this came up:
                  http://www.miniaturelops.com/weights.htm

Sorry if you felt a bit attacked Starah, but Cheri is just trying to help, and our members here feel very strongly about accidental litters. So I think the intention was just to remind you that It would be best to separate them now as they could reach maturity any time now

My comments were directed to other new bunny owners as well as to you, Sarah. You didn’t say in your post wether or not you had previous bunny experience or understood they should be separated, so I wanted to throw that out there.
Lots of new bunny owners think that brothers and sisters know better than to mate, so I like to take every opportunity to get the info out there.

                      Welcome!

Please don’t feel lectured by the spay/neuter comments, they were meant to be helpful. There are so many people who make these crucial mistakes when first getting a bunny. We hear about oops litters so often on this forum, so everyone is used to being proactive about this.

Thanks Tessie for the growth chart, will have to try and get them to sit still long enough to weigh them tonight!

Sorry for getting defensive earlier but I too feel very strongly about the best care possible, bunny before who sadly died this summer was a rescue bunny who had been abused before he came to us. Poor thing, he was so poorly that I know how important the best care is for buns.
And the bunny before him lived to the grand old age of ten so I know they will be a big commitment which I don’t take lightly, I want the best for my buns!
