         Just a little question,

Cookie sleeps in a specific hide-out all day, except in the morning and at night. At night when I give him play time he’ll go binkying and running around. Then he will take a little break and enjoys being pet. Then he’ll be go running again. I have read that rabbits usually sleep in the day, and are most active in the morning and at night.  I just wanted to make sure that this behavior is pretty normal.  I was just kind of worried also that he refuses to sleep anywhere, but in his hide-out. But I guess he just really likes his hide-out!

My bunnies are very specific about where they sleep too. In their condos, they sleep in their “beds” (cardboard boxes with blankets) and when they are out in the living room, they both have favorite lay-down spots.

Bunnies are crepuscular which means they are most active during the morning and early evening (dawn and dusk). This stems from wild bunny behavior as this is the safest time to be out grazing.

Thankyou for replying! I had read somewhere that rabbits sleep in the day and ar active in the morning and at night. I just wanted to make sure it was true. I am relieved to know that it is normal. Lol! Cookie has a bed that sounds like the ones your rabbit has, but likes to go on it when he wants to be pet.

Yep! Totally normal! Our Molly prefers to sleep under our loveseat instead of her awesome bed…oh well!

lol! I tried to persuade Cookie to sleep on his bunny bed, but he refused! He much prefers his hide-out for sleeping and uses his bunny bed for other purposes.
