         Hi guys,

My baby bunny was 100% toilet-trained and, if he’s in his hutch, he still is. But he has recently started to enjoy peeing on my bed. As soon as he hops up he starts pooing, it is incredible, it won’t stop! And then sometimes he’ll back himself up against my pillows and, unfortunately, a few times he’s actually done a wee.

I’ve washed the sheets 3 times this week. I am banning him from the bed, but he is so fast at jumping up.

Any tips? Has anyone had the same experience?

Rabbits peeing on beds isa  really common problem. They smell a lot like humans and it triggers their marking instincts. Beds are also soft and bunnies like to pee on soft things. The only real way to get him to stop is to not allow him up there.

If he’s not neutered I would get it done when he’s old enough as this will help keep his habits reliable and reduce his marking urges. He may grow out of it eventually but some rabbits just can’t be on beds.

            I agree with you, MoveDiagonally.
That really happens often… Charlie does to me all the time! xD
I’m not going to put Charlie on my bed anymore!

Happened with us too so Molly isn’t allowed in the bedroom at all. She did it for a short time on our couch but once she caught on that she had to go back in her condo she stopped doing it.

This is super common, because they like to mark soft absorbent things that smell like us. I would either keep him off, or put down something waterproof like a shower curtain when he’s going to have access to the bed.

My Barney doesnt ever wee on the bed (apart from once the first few days I had him), but Belle seems to enjoy a good wee on the bed However she’s being spayed on Friday, and also hasnt done any wees on the bed for the last week or so!! (touch wood!!)
Hope you find a solution, definitely get him neutered if not done already x
