         Hi!

I got Fidget just over 3 weeks ago. He’s 2 years old and hasn’t been neutered. He’s a creamy mini lop.

We adopted him from some people who were moving to France. To be honest I don’t think they took the best care of him, everything they told me about him when we picked him up was completely wrong. But he’s come on in leaps and bounds (literally!) since I got him. He’s still a bit shy sometimes, but he follows us round, comes over for strokes and treats, and sits on my stomach for a few minutes at a time when I’m watching TV late at night.

Other than that, he’s a terror. Anything on the floor gets chewed or ripped up, the TV stand is surrounded by the sort of little picket fence you get around flower beds…. I love him though! We have a big beanbag instead of a sofa, and he’s obsessed with jumping on it and sliding around.

At the moment he’s got the cage he had when we adopted him, a standard shop one (he’s only in it when we’re asleep or out of the house), but sometime in the next month I’m planning to make one from wire grids and wood.

He lives with me and my best friend in our flat.

        Pictures!

        On his first day.

Relaxing on his equivalent of a sofa. (Note the protective fences and bowls of water in the background!)

Hours of entertainment with a paper bag.

From today – just woken up after a little snooze in his litter tray!

        And in all his glory

        x

Awww, he’s lovely! Beautiful colour! Are you planning on neutering him? Good for you for giving him a better life!

Welcome to BB! What a beautiful boy bunny you have! It looks like you’ve been doing some research and I’m glad he found you.

Some of his bad behaviors might lessen with neutering as sometimes destructive behaviors can be amplified by hormones. There’s also an article here about bunny proofing that you might find helpful:

I’m considering getting him neutered in a month or two (once I’ve got some spare cash). He isn’t aggressive or territorial, so there’s no major rush.
He had a check up last week though and the vet said he’s very healthy, which is good!

He sure is adorable. He almost looks a little bit like mine, except Fidget has longer ears, much bigger, and mine is an American Fuzzy Lop. So glad theres great people out there like you to take in a animal that wasn't cared for all that well and give him a great loving home. I hope the best for you and Fidget!
