  so i have a bunny thats 3 and hes not fixed but i think hes lonely and i found a bunny thats for sale thats the same age as mine but hes a boy. and they would be sharing one big cage and hes not fixed either. would two males bond together? or will they just fight? i really want another bunny and this one is just so cute

  You have to get them neutered though. Boys won’t get along unless they are neutered.

  As LBJ said, before any bonding can really start they would both need to be neutered + 1 month for hormones to dissipate and level out. After neutering gender doesn’t play a big role in bonding it really comes down to each rabbit’s personality.

  I wanted to add that they would need to be housed separately until they are neutered and bonded. So they wouldn’t be able to share one big cage until after all that occurs. You would be looking at housing them separately for AT LEAST a couple months at most forever. Some rabbits will not bond due to personality conflicts and they can never live together. This is something you should be prepared for before getting a second rabbit. There is no guarantee they will end up bonded. This is not to discourage you just something to consider.

  I have a pair of bonded mails and they adore each other. That said I got them already bonded. Bringing a new rabbit home would be complicated, you need to keep them apart until a month after they have both been fixed, then you have to bond them which can be a long stressful process. Do you have the necessary space to keep a second rabbit housed until they Can live together? The bonding process may take weeks or it could take months.
  
  I sympathize with you wanting another rabbit, and the desire to get yours a companion, but please research bonding and learn about what is involved before you adopt a second rabbit. It can be a challenge.

  They would definitely have to be neutered first, but it’s definitely possible to bond two boys together.
  
  Bonding is a lot of work, so read up and see if you’re ready for the process. There’s always the possibility that they won’t bond, and they’ll have to live separately.
