As many of you know, I am getting my Flemmie on Saturday. The woman fostering him also runs the rescue he’s in and says that he’s 100% pee trained and 98% poop trained. This was before his neuter which wa last night. Will the neuter cause those to recede or will they stay the same?

I think it’s a bit hard to say. After his neuter my bun went completely crazy for a couple of weeks. Any hormonal behaviour from before the surgery was magnified x10. After about 2 weeks he started gradually settling and now he has perfect habits again.

It might also take a little while since he is being moved to a new environment. He could continue to have perfect litter habits, it’s definitely possible, I just wouldn’t rely on it for now. It would be a good idea to protect your carpets and stuff just in case!

We have tile and he’s being kept in the bathroom while we bond until I trust him to free-roam. (:

Yeah, like Rufus said, it could go either way, there are too many variables with him being neutered and moving to a new home within such a short period of time. See how he is when he gets home and go from there.

He’s so good about it! He will not poop anywhere but his litter pad. (He’s already too big for a cat litter box lol) he will stop what he’s doing in another room to go to the bathroom, use his pad and get food and water. I couldn’t have asked for a better bunny!

That’s great news!!! I’m glad he has maintained those good habits!
