So, yesterday my bunny and I just moved to our new home on campus, and I’ve been kind of freaking out since then, afraid that she’s getting sick or needs to go to the vet. She’s eating and pooping, but she’s lying down more than usual (I think–I could just be paranoid) and she’s had a few hard sneezes that sound almost like grunts. Her nose is dry, though. She also didn’t finish her pellets (though ate all of her greens), and she LOVES pellets.

I am just being paranoid? What are the signs I should look for that show she’s actually sick or needs to see a vet vs. just being grumpy about a new home? Any thoughts? Thank you!

          Hi Elphie,
I would monitor her just incase it is a little stress induced stasis… However if she is eating, peeing and pooping normally you should be OK… Also watch the sneezing, if it continues a trip to the vet would be the best idea. Hopefully she will start to move around and get familiar with her surroundings. If you are still concerned a trip to the vet just for a check and to put your own mind at ease might be a good idea.. But if she is doing the right things I would probably avoid disturbing her again unnecessarily

I agree with Roberta. The trip was very stressful for her, most likely. She will need some time to adjust to her new home as well.

Thanks for the responses. She’s settled in more now and eating like she used to. I think I was just being overly worried, but I’m keeping a very close eye on her for the next week or so to see if a vet trip is needed.
