Morning! I noticed last night that Charlee was kind of limping and holding her left front paw up off the floor and she does not appear to be using it much/avoiding using it….at times she’s just tucking it under her, when she’s standing. I called the vet and they can’t see her until Wednesday… This is the vet that I believe is the most knowledgeable in my area. I don’t know what I should do now, take her to a vet I’m not as confident in or wait until Wednesday! I did palpate her leg a bit and she was resisting me moving her leg more so than usual and it felt hot so I assume there is some inflammation there…I’m trying to put some cold there to help with that but I assume its painful so that’s why I thought I should take her to vet today and not wait. I guess they’d just give her pain meds maybe if its just muscular?

Oh, I do not know how she injuried it…I do not believe she fell or anything.

Is there an emergency vet near you? They tend to be expensive and may not have rabbit experience, but it’s an option if you think she needs to be seen immediately. You could also get a pain reliever like metacam to hold her over until the real vet appointment.

Does your vet do drop off appointments? When my vet doesn’t have something available you can drop your pet off and the vet examines them between other appointments. This is what I did when my rabbit fractured his foot.

If that’s not possible than I would go to an emergency vet and then follow up with your regular vet on Wednesday.
