Maybe I’ve asked this before…I’m not sure, but basically Apollo will generally only eat veggies when I prepare them. It’s happened before, where I’ve been out at a sleepover or on a camp and my mum has given him veggies, and he’s picked his favourite bits out (usually celery, or parsley or mint!) and completely leaves the rest. However when I prepare them, he gobbles them all up. What’s going on here?

Another thing is, when mum walks around the house and Apollo is out and about, he’ll follow her and try to chew her shoes or feet. He never does this with me, just mum. But he’ll groom my hair and eyebrows if I hold my head to the floor, yet he’ll point blank ignore mother. He’s a funny bunny, and it’s got me so confused!

I doubt he can really tell the difference about who prepares them. I imagine that picking out the bits has only been a coincidence – he just eats what he feels like and you just notice it moreso when you come back from being away.

It sounds like he’s just showing his affection differently to your mum – she probably doesn’t get down on the ground with him to allow him to groom her hair and eyebrows.

He wuvs you and sees your mum as an outsider.
Biting her shoes as she walks by is his way of saying “Move along! Get out of here and leave me and my girlfriend alone!” Is he neutered? If he isn’t, getting him fixed may calm that down, if he is, imagine how territorial he’d be if he wasn’t! Lol!
As for the veggies – he DOES eat some (mostly because bunnies just can’t resist their favorite veggies !) so don’t worry about it as long as he is also eating his pellets and hay.

Have fun with your fuzzy little boyfriend!

I would imagine it has a lot more to do with the fact that you aren’t home when someone else brings him his veggies. He likes you best and you not being around breaks his routine and maybe stresses him out a little bit. He also sounds a bit territorial about your mom being in his space. She doesn’t seem to be high on his favorite people list… Those would be my guesses…

Hehe okay, maybe he’s just a weird one! Matches me
Yeah, he’s neutered. Mum is actually a favourite of Apollos, for some reason it MEN he hates. My brother and father cannot get near him without getting boxed by Apollos paws! Maybe he is just showing his affection differently! Thanks guys!
