Pimm has suddenly decided to pee everywhere! I mean marking the walls, furniture, everything!

She was so good and now she’s totally crazy.  I thought maybe she had too much space and was feeling pressure to mark it all, so I reduced her down to own dedicated room, but she’s peeing all over it!

Haven’t changed the litter or the food.  The only other thing that is different is that she has simultaneously become the most snuggly affectionate bunny in the world.  Before she used to pretty much ignore me, but now she will get upset if I stop grooming her.  (She stomps.)

Could this be dominance or something?  Like now she’s the queen and she owns me and the house so she has mark like never before?  Not sure what to do….

Is (I’m assuming Pimm is a she) she spayed and how old is she?
If she is young (between 3-6 months) she is probably reaching sexual maturity, which would explain both her change in affection as well as marking everything!

If she is not spayed I would recommend getting it done a) for your benefit, she will be less temperamental and less messy, and b) for her benefit, as un-spayed females have an extremely high risk of getting cancer by 2 years old.

Pimm’s 18 month old female, spayed. I think she might hate her litter. I realize that I changed her litter and that could be it…

Then yes, that’s probably it. Especially if the litter is a harder or softer texture than normal, or scented!

              Hope it gets better!! =)
