As of recently, Mouse has started peeing on the bed at night. We have had him for 5 months now and he is well behaved. He is litter trained and the only other time he has peed on my bed was the first time he was ever up there and when we brought him back from his first vet appointment. It hasn’t been every night (only about 3 times in 2 weeks) but its incredibly unwanted. He doesn’t hop up, pee, and hop down. He comes up with me, sleeps up there close to me for most of the night, and goes down to the foot of the bed to pee at some point during the night. I understand this is probably marking, but why now after this long? What can I do about it? I’d rather not have to lock him up at night.

Note: he is almost 3 years old and is neutered.

Go to the bunny info section on the site then take a look at the “Bunny gone nutty” section for more help in this!(:
I’d also recommended if you haven’t already absorbing his pee with a paper towel and putting it in the litter box then spraying odor remove into where he peed and soaking that up. If necessary wash your sheets/blankets

Also try limiting his water intake at night if he usually has a full bowl and its mostly gone when you go to fill it the next day only fill it to where he usually has it gone or half way full or less

Does he have his litter box nearby? Maybe you could put a second one next to the bed for at night? Is anything different? A new blanket, new laundry detergent ect? That’s really the only thing I can think of if he’s marking after such a long time is that there is a new scent or a new item on or around your bed that he wants to smell like him. If everything is the same then I wouldn’t think it is marking but just normal pee.
