Bella and Lionel don’t have the best litter box habits. Around 50% of poops get in the box, and only 70% of the wee.
Both bunnies are spayed/ neutered. The boxes are changed twice a week, poops are scooped out every day, and are always full of hay. The bunnies do have fleece on the bottom of their cage, but I can’t remove it as both bunnies are deathly afraid of slippery floors and will cower in a corner and not move until a soft flooring is put down. I sweep the fleece every day, and change once a week. I use wsp as litter.

Anymore suggestions on how to improve their habits? I want to give them more freedom, but I cannot do that if they wee on my carpet.

What size litter box are you using?

I have two 14×18 boxes next to each other.

Which are standard cat boxes I think. I wonder if you could put a regular rug down though rather than the fleece – it is possible that is the culprit although I understand why you use these.

Maybe…… I have a rug in the bunnies room, but they poop and wee on that too…. I will try. The reason I use fleece in the cage is that it is washable.
