We just got home and I greeted my rabbit.
I usually check her out to make sure shes okay-but this time when I came home her right eye is filled with blood, or at least thats what it looks like. The whole eye is not, it seems to have stayed at the bottom part of her eye. I’m very worried, please, what is this?

Something that needs to be looked at by a vet, it could be a scratch, a burst blood vessel or something behind the eye causing pressure. She really needs to be checked out by a professional.

She could have scratched it somehow, but like Roberta said it could be something else too. A vet will be able to make a proper diagnosis and give her the treatment she needs.

She has an appointment to get spayed within the next week, would she be fine to sit til then?

I would not wait… If its a scratch you risk infection that treated now could heal if left she may loose her eye. If it is caused by a tooth abscess or pressure behind the eye. Ditto, waiting could allow a bad situation to go from treatable to debilitating or fatal.

If it’s something requiring treatment, the vet will probably want to postpone the surgery until the eye is healed anyways, so there is no benefit to waiting a week, especially since the risk of infection is so high.
