Please help! Bright Eyes was just dropped off for me and I’m so worried about him… He’s in his cage, lying on his stomach and he looks and feels really thin… It doesn’t look like he’s pooped at all today and he is losing  fur like crazy! He feels so limp when I hold him, he barely even squirms… I’m in tears because I’m so worried… Should I get immediate help?? Please someone answer as soon as possible…

If you offer food (including his favorite treats), does he eat?
How long has he been in this condition?
You said he was just dropped off? From where/what?

This sounds like an emergency situation. Any lethargic behavior needs immediate attention.

              Agree with Beka 100%.

              Sounds like an emergency.

I called a vet and they simply said to keep him close to a fan and offer him food and water and let him get up and walk around on his own… He drank some water and eventually came around… I brushed the extra fur off of him and he’s not shedding so much anymore…
Thanks for your support guys, I think he’ll be fine, but I’m very upset with the person who was supposed to care for him…

He is clearly underweight now and his fur is dull and clearly hasn’t been groomed properly…

I will be going to the vet in a few days to make sure no permanent damage was done and to get his nails properly clipped…
However, he is no longer as lethargic and he already looks brighter and more energetic… I just wanted to tell you guys so that no one worried… I know who not to trust for rabbit sitting anymore though…

I’m glad Bright Eyes came around! You’ll have to let us know how the vet visit goes ((healthy vibes))
