         Hello!

I’m Muffinluv! That is mainly because I love my Little Bunny named Muffin!

Muffin is a chestnut Holland lop.  I do not know his age exactly but I know he still has a lot of growing to do!  I will have owned muffin for a week tomorrow.  When we first brought him home he was so scared, but after letting him be for a day, and calmly reading him stories the next, he is a cute, loving, adorable, fuzzy cuddle-muffin.  He now loves his daily (almost hourly, he begs to come out of the cage) out of cage playtimes.  We are still building him a bunny safe area in the backyard so my bunny-proofed room will have to do for now.

I have never owned a bunny in my life.  I wanted a dog but my mom thinks they are too noisy.  She loves cats but is very allergic.  A bunny buddy is just as much work as a dog (constant poop patrol- I’m getting quite far in litter-training. Socializing, hours of supervised out of cage time, feeding, cleaning, vet bills) but is so fluffy and rewarding!  I wanted a bunny because I am the youngest in my family and my brothers only ever go on the computer, never interact with me and I am a very social person.  With a bunny, I have someone to give lots of love, patience, and attention.  I love singing, math, science, and of course, Bunnies!

Hope To Get To Know You All!

              Thanks,

Bunnies are little eating, sleeping, loving, binkying, and pooping/peeing machines

I spent lots of time trying to litter train him so I could enjoy a well potty-mannered bunny in the future.  I bought him a nice $12.00 loo-bin and some paper-litter.  But even though he peed in the litter box he also peed in other places.

It was during one of his out of cage play sessions I had a EUREKA momment.  He liked digging up his bed-towel so I got a frozen pizza box and filled it with aspen shavings for him to dig up.  He sat in the box and peed in it.  At first I felt a bit sad that he peed on his new toy so I cleaned up the pee and he peed in it again.  Now I am keeping EVERY frozen pizza box I get my hands on so I can keep him peeing in one place.  He litter-trained himself to pee in that box and now I’m just working on helping him maintain those good habbits.

Bunnies are so cute,  but I’m really glad my parents didn’t let me get one 5 years ago.  That poor bunny would be traumatized.  It is so tempting to constantly pet him.  So much so if I were 5 years younger I would scare the poor thing.  Now I’m old enough and patient enough to let HIM decide when it’s cuddles time.

Sorry I just got him a week ago so I’m just so happy and excited and want to tell the whole world how happy I am and about everything my cute bunny does.

Thank You for Welcoming Me to BinkyBunny.Com!
