Hello everyone! I am trying to adopt a female Jersey wolly rabbit. She’s around 3-4 years old. She was surrendered by a hobby breeder, and it is known that she has given birth to a few litters. Will this effect her lifespan? She is spayed now, and will be a house rabbit with the best possible care. I am wondering, will she not live as long? Thank you! -Meghan

I don’t think so – as long as she’s spayed and in good general health it should not be an issue and she definitely deserves a good home :~)

=) She will certainly have a good home – I’ve been wanting a rabbit for a long time now. I’ve been reading up about them a lot, and I can’t stop looking at this bunny!

I love the Jersey Woolies – they are so cute. Be prepared to groom quite a bit too.

Yeah, I used to have one and I brushed her every few days. Do you think I should have brushed her more? And what about bathing?

It really depends on the coat – some seem to have more fine silky hair and some have more coarse long hair…at least every few days would probably be just fine. No bathing though.

Will do! I’m going to buy a rabbit brush and brush every other day or so.

i could brush jersey woolies and satin angoras all day long.
every sunday at TTAS i pick one or two to brush out their undercoat,
i spend at least half an hour each, and then i end up with a garbage can full of fur that is larger than either of the original buns.
when you get the thick undercoat cleared out,, the long furs just blow all free and wispy-like with the wind,, and they bounce when the bun runs

otherwise the manager Denise ends up trimming them when they get too long, and nothing looks sadder than a tiny satin angora with a butch cut…
