This really isnt a question, but it’s about my digging box idea!!!  My dad used to hate it whenever the buns would dig in their digging box and the sand would fly everywhere!! So i just put it in a bigger cardboard box with tall sides and placed the digging litter pan in it and it keeps the sand in and easy to clean!!!

          That’s a great idea!

I’m going to move this thread to the Habitat and Toys section.

Thanks for this, literally just while I was reading this I could hear one of my rabbits in their room digging in their litter and I’m just sitting here like “Ugh, really man?!”.

agreed. Femto used to try to dig to China… through the laminate flooring. At least he couldn’t hurt the floor but having conversations with company was impossible haha. I say the more digging boxes the better.

MoJingly: That’s because Femto has been studying Chinese in secret, while Fermata was busy with the wonders of neurology. He just wants the opportunity to practize what he’s picked up from his books, and for that he of course needs to get to China.

                  =)

I gave my bunnies digging-boxes and neither of them dug =( Yohio likes to flop in his though.

How do they get into the big box?

Haha, that’s a good idea. Gimli has only ever tried digging into my bedsheets, and sometimes when he’s cuddling with people, so I don’t know if it’s something I’ll try.

After me and my fiance moved to our townhouse we had lots of leftover moving boxes. We cut a door for them to get into it and put hay, ripped up newspaper, a couple toys and tiny pieces of of banana chips for them to dig for. Only problem is the hay makes a bit of a mess when they shove it out of the box lol. Owell keeps em entertained.

Caleb LOVES to dig in his litterbox it’s very annoying at night (and it’s not like we could take the litterbox out what if he has to “go”), anyway so what we did was we got a tall sided box cut down one of the sides so he can hop in and then we cut up a sheet (something we never use) and put it in the box, he peed on it a little (probably to get his scent in it) and ever sense instead of digging in his litter box he digs in the “dig” box. He still digs a little bit (I would say 10%) but we are getting the litterbox and digging screen from on here (his old litterbox is just a cardboard box with a hole in it) so that should stop the digging completely your idea is great
