When they are born, their ears are not lopped immediately. My loppy boy’s ears didn’t fully flop til about 2 and a half months, and he still does have good control over them, he can bring them up halfway still.

I second Monkeybun, lop ears don’t lop immediately. I’ve read that it can take a year in extreme cases. Gravity has to work on the little ears, they need to be long and heavy enough to drop.

Dogs are like that too. Some dogs you have to weigh down the tips of their ears with f ex chewing-gum to make them drop (sometimes needed if you’re planning to show your dog). Although nobody can know for sure if their ears would’ve dropped eventually even without the chewing-gum.

I have a bunny whose one ear dropped last week or so. He’s fully grown although I don’t know his exact age. But if needed, he can put both ears up. (I don’t know why this is sometimes needed, that seems to be one of the many rabbit-secrets, but I’ve seen him do it.)
