I have two male rabbits. The older one is neutered and we are getting the younger one neutered soon. The older rabbit seems to have bit my younger rabbit and there is some blood. How should I take care of the bite mark?

Where on the rabbit is it? How small and how deep is it? If it seems small and uncomplicated and is located away from f ex eyes and genitals and other sensitive areas, you can clean it with f ex clorhexidine-solution. You can put on anti-bacterial (anti-septic) cream. If it’s a deep cut and so on, a vet may be needed to prescribe antibiotics. If you can get a picture of the wound, please show it here so we can give you better advice.

And keep the rabbits separated until a month – six weeks AFTER the younger one is neutered. Then try to bond them. I’m trying to bond two neutered males right now and it’s not going well, I think I began too soon after the second one was neutered. Don’t do that!

Keep a very close eye on the wound as bunny bites can abscess. I ditto, Bam. Keep them separated. Bunnies can do a lot of damage to each other.
