I was thinking on getting a different kind of litter. Some people have suggested getting horse stall pellets. Do these work? Also, what is in them and do they help with odor controll? Thx people!!!!

I use to use horse pellets and couldn’t stand the smell it was a pine smell and my house smelled like pine like a barn. So i switched to yesterdays news unscented pellets. I get a 30# bag at petco for about $17 I mix it with shredded newspaper and it last me 4-6 weeks. This is the best bedding and I wont use anything else!

EquinePine, FelinePine, Untreated Wood Stove Pellets (WSP), Dry Den, etc… Are all the same thing.

I use them and love them. The low price tag is super attractive, 40-50lbs for $4-5. I only spend about $40-60 a year on litter. I think there are people here that spend even less by stocking up on Untreated Wood Stove Pellets during the winter.

I keep clean litter in a plastic storage tote and the wood smell is pretty strong when I open it but I only do that when I’m changing out the boxes. My home doesn’t smell like wood and they control odor/are absorbent.

I like them too (horse stall pellets) – much more affordable than anything else – I use Lone Star Bedding – not sure if that’s available in Missouri though. However you may be able to get the Untreated Wood Stove Pellets – not available in Texas where I live.

Carefresh is perfectly fine but it is expensive and there are better alternatives in my opinion.

I just found this website. Does this seem like a good deal?

                      Are the links working?
