Ok, So I adopted my baby boy Mastachio from a girl on craigslist. (One of these day I will learn. I ran into the same problem when I got my dog.) Well she said he hadn’t been played with much because she was too busy. Well. When I got him home and when I got him to let me hold him.. I noticed he was been totally neglected. His bum is COVERED in mud and poo. His back nails are so long they have curved twice. His front nails are almost the same. He drools off and on but I don’t know if that is just because he gets super mellow when I hold him or if it something with his mouth.. It’s not all the time. The fur all around his left eye is wet too. And is his pee suposed to smell like doritos or that a bad thing too? I’ve never had a bunny before, I have baby sat bunnies for my friends… but never had my own. I would like to know what all is going on. I have a bunny vet near by but I am moving soon. Is this bad enough that I should go now? (I will admit I don’t trust the one here. I prefer the vet in the city I am moving to) Or is there something I can do to fix it here and just get him checked after we move.

I just want my baby to be ok… He is such a sweety he doesnt deserve what happened to him. He did the cutest thing the other day. I was trying to take a picture of a tatoo I designed when I was 15 to send to a tatoo artist and Mustachio wouldnt let me tack the picture unless he was in it! And I fell asleep ont he couch later that day with him on my chest… He slept with me and after a while I woke up and he was licking my face. Lol! later on I was taking pictured of him and he kept “Chinninh” my iPod. Lol It wasn’t hard to imaging him singing that really goofy song “I’m too sexy”

I think I would go ahead and get an initial check at this point since he’s been neglected unless moving soon is very soon. It is possible he has some dental problems because of the drool and eye problems and you want to get that addressed soon (even if it’s with your other vet).

Thank you I will get there as soon as I can get an appointment. I’m moving in about 3 weeks. So if I can get in before then I will.

I agree with Sarita. Any new bunny should get a wellness exam and it does sound like there may be a dental issue with your new bun.

Love the name “Mustachio”. Too cute! Poor little guy, I’m glad he’s with someone who will take good care of him now.

              How old is he?

The girl said he was a year old.

He’s a brave lil guy. He loves my cat, who hates him. He hates my dog though… who loves him.. It’s really funny. My cat, Ziva, will be walking around my room during play time and he will follow her around. She always freaks when she sees him and runs onto her cat tower. And my dog, Xerxes, keeps trying to lick Mustachio who tries to bite him. But Xerxes is taller then Mustachio and he just raises his head up and jumps onto my bed. I never know who to fuss at so I just play referee and laugh.

To explain a little my bedroom is for some reason where all the animals deside to hang out. I guess it’s because I have alot of windows and when they are open you get a full view of the front yard. The cat tower used to be in the livingroom but Ziva never used it so it got put in my room. (Sadly that caused my electric keyboard to get the boot.) Which now I’m a little anoyed at her because I want to get my keyboard back and she wont use her tower anymore…I got a new desk chair because my old one was actually a dinning chair I got out of the kitchen. But… I am currently stuck in the livining room sitting on the couch with my laptop on a wobbly 30 year old fold up tv tray table thingy that is broke.. because Ziva will not get out of my chair and Todd (my mom’s 20 pund orange american short hair) is taking up my enitre desk… >.<'

Not to mention I lost my gaming chair… So now my rank on Motor Storm has lowered because I am not sitting the way I perfer to… Because a sertan blonde extreamly hyper mouthy 8 month puppy refuses to give it back.. If I sit in it when he is not int he room he will bark at me till I move… >.<' not fair…

Mustachio is pretty cool though. Other then I love to do photography… and he keeps photo bombing my pictures. Which is a littel anoying since I am an extream perfectionist when it comes to that (and cooking… and painting… and any of my hobbies).. and I use film not digital.

Which I feel kinda guilty that I have a ton of stories to tell abotu Ziva nad Xerxes but not much about Mustacio. I keep telling myself these two have been here for:

                Ziva- 3 years

                Xerxes almost 3 months

and Mustacio is only about 2 weeks. So he will catch up. And Sorry I tend to go on and on and on about my pets.
