So all the sites say bunnies should get around 1 cup of veggies per 3 pounds minimum but what is the maximum?  My bunny is still growing so I can’t really judge by her weight since she should be gaining weight still (last vet visit we were at 1kg (2.2lbs) and she’s a dwarf mix of some kind and around 5-6 months old).

I do ration her pellets (because she wouldn’t eat anything else if she were free-fed pellets) so she gets about 1/4~1/3 cup a day but she’s probably eating around 3 cups of veggies a day on top of that.  I give it to her on a regular sized dinner plate and it’s a heaping plate full which she eats almost all of it in one sitting, maybe leaving a few leaves that she will munch on later in the evening.

Is her diet too heavy on the veggies?  Or does it not really matter as long as she’s active?  She eats plenty of hay still and spends most of the early morning sprinting around my bedroom and jumping on me to get me to feed her and most of the evening running up and down the stairs.  Is she eating a lot?  Average?  Do I just not need to worry about it until she’s full grown and we start focusing on maintaining her weight?  But really, how much is too much?

For young bunnies rule of thumb is unlimited everything… That having been said “everything” should be good quality.
Hay, pellets and greens. Avoid sweet treats.
