We are currently housing the bun in an xpen but we need to remove it temporarily while some work is being done to the house. Would you recommend an extra large dog crate or a NIC condo? What are the pros and cons for each? I want something comfortable for my 3 lb lop and easy to maintain and clean.

Why does the pen have to be removed, can you just move it to wherever you are going to have the bunny in the meantime?

If the issue is the size, you can just fold two of the panels behind and have it as a 2×4 foot pen temporarily.

The room that we are moving the bun to is fairly small. A condo would be nice for more vertical space. The dog crate would be tight. I guess I could take some of the panels of the xpen out and make it smaller for the time being, didn’t think of that…

A condo would need time to make but if your bun likes jumping, it would be nice addition. When this temp situation is over, you can still keep both the condo and x-pen.

I used a dog crate when I first adopted my bunny I liked it the only con was it was to small and it was really expensive. I switched to an nic cube condo it was cheaper and it it was bigger. I would go for the nic cube condo!
